ANYTHING CHRISTMAS AT DI'S DIGI DESIGNS CHALLENGE

Happy Saturday to everyone!   I cannot believe Christmas is in less than a week - where did the time go??

We have a NEW CHALLENGE for you over at DI’S DIGI DESIGNS and it is Anything Christmas.   Di has tons of images that will fit this challenge perfectly.  You have until 11:55pm EST on Friday, January 1st, 2016 to come join the fun.  Remember, you don’t need to use an image from DI'S DIGI STAMPS to play along, but if you do, you have a chance to win 2 images from DI'S DIGI STAMPS in addition to a chance at the sponsor prize.   You may also use a CandiBean rubber or clear stamp to have an extra chance to win the 2 Di's Digi images.

I hope you will check out DI'S DIGI STAMPS as Di has so many wonderful images, many that would be perfect for our challenge.   You can also check out her CandiBean rubber stamps line - the newest set has just been released!  Hope you will check them out!

I used one of the newest images from DI’S DIGI STAMPS "Special Christmas Friendship" which you can find in the Christmas section of the shop.  This image was such fun to color with my Copics.  I cut out with a die from my stash.  I added Stickles and snow paint for added sparkle.  DP is Basic Grey, sentiment is from My Craft Stop and is cut with Tattered Lace die.  Flower sticker is K and Co.  I sure hope you like it and will come play along!!

Today's New Challenge is CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS. Make sure you read the rules on the right sidebar at Digi Choosday Challenge Blog so that you can play along. Also, a new DIGI CHOOSDAY DISCOUNT is available until MIDNIGHT GMT so make sure you take advantage of that!!

I wanted to do something really spectacular this week to showcase how many projects you can create from one of the Polkadoodles CDs/Digital Download collections, so I dragged my Pazzle cutting machine out of hybernation and used 3 of the templates - the 3 candy houses - from Twiggy and Toots Festive Fun Download Collection to create a Christmas Village.  My image of choice this time, Twiggy and Toots Christmas Gift, can be purchased by itself or as part of Twiggy and Toots Festive Fun Download Collection.  I used it to make a plaque of sorts to place along with the houses.   I also chose papers, sentiments and used SVG files for the decorations on the houses, as well as for my Christmas plaque, from Twiggy and Toots Festive Fun Download Collection.  Sure hope you like it!

Here is the full scene followed by some close ups of the individual houses, the middle one is with the plaque.

I hope you will come play along with us at Digi Choosday Challenge Blog.  Don't forget also to check out all the fabulous DT projects.

DESTINY BAKES COOKIES - FAERY INK INSPIRATION!

Hello everyone!! I'm here to share some Faery Ink inspiration with you today. This month we have a nice variety of images to share with you.

For my project this time, I chose to play with Destiny Bakes Cookies from the Destiny Bakes Digital Stamp Set. The Destiny Bakes Digital Stamp Set comes with 20 files which include sentiments as well as a recipe card you can fill out and include with your projects. Additionally, we have a fun Faery Ink Baking Challenge going on in Faery Ink Facebook Group, visit there now and find out how to get your 50% off this awesome Destiny Bakes Digital Stamp Set.

I colored Destiny and the surrounding scenery in the image with my Copics. I used the following color combos:

Hair: E79, E87, E84, E34 and T6

Face: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R21

Eyes: E44, E47

Oven: T8, T6,T4, T2, T0, C1, C3

Wood: E31, E35, E57, E79, W3

Greens: G28, YG17, YG13, YG03

Pinks: RV69, RV66, RV55, RV63, RV10

Cookies: E35, E33, E31

Spoon and rolling pin: YR24, YR21, E33

Blues: BG57, BG45, BG53, BG11

Cookie jars: E44, E42, E40

I also added some sparkle with Atyou Spica pens.

Image is cut with die from Tattered Lace, designer paper is from Doodlebug Designs. I chose to go with a double slanted easel card for this creation so I could show off the image and several other elements. I created the apron based loosely on a template I found on Pinterest. I used a die from Nellie Snellen to create the trim around the neck of the apron and cut 3/4 of a Simon Says Stamp stitched circle die for the pocket of the apron. I attached ribbon from Taylored Expressions. The recipe was found on Google Images and I think it sounds yummy!!

Sure hope you like my creation and hopefully it has given you some inspiration. Make sure that you visit the Faery Ink Shop to see all the wonderful images there, especially all this month's New Releases!! Also, remember to play in our monthly challenge as well as our Baking Challenge - you can find both at Faery Ink Facebook Group.

Hugs:)

We have a NEW CHALLENGE for you over at DI’S DIGI DESIGNS and it is TIC TAC TOE - just use the board below and use any 3 across, down or diagonal on your creation to come play along.   Di has tons of images that will fit this challenge perfectly.  You have until 11:55pm EST on Friday, November 20 to come join the fun.

I decided to go with a Fall/Autumn theme this time around.  I chose the middle row from the Tic Tac Toe board - die cuts, digi, hand colored image.  I used one of the newest images from DI’S DIGI STAMPS "Harvest Hedgehogs."  Image is colored with Copics and cut out with Avery Elle die.  Sentiment is from Scrappy Moms and cut with Sizzix die.  DP is Doodlebug Designs.  Stickers are from my stash.  I also used ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and circle shaped die cuts done with Tattered Lace dies.   I sure hope you like it and will come play along!!

I took the perimeters of this challenge quite literally on all parts of my card and coloring.  I chose the image Octavia Moonfly Wistful, which is available as a single image (both black and white and colored versions are included) or you can get her as part of Octavia Moonfly Big Kahuna Digital Craft Bundle, which is where I got my image.   Image is colored in mostly sepia tones with highlights of orange and red using my Copics for all of the image.  Image is cut out with Nestie.

I also found my sentiment in the Octavia Moonfly Big Kahuna Digital Craft Bundle.  It is cut out with Bo Bunny die and button from Bag O Buttons added.  I also daubed the sentiment tag with Distress Ink.

The kraft paper with the mushrooms and ladybugs is from Winston Deluxe Full Collection, the orange striped paper is from Halloween/Autumn Paper Heaven 2 and the red paper is from Work and Play Volume 1 Collection, found in the boy bodybuilder section.  Mushroom and pumpkin embellies are from Autumn/Fall Digis Colored Bundle and I have cut those out with scissors.

Holiday Tree Destiny from Faery Ink

Hello everyone!! I am here to share some inspiration with you today which can also be found on the Faery Ink Blog. This month we are turning our focus to Christmas, and as you have seen throughout most of the month, Amanda has drawn some absolutely stunning images for all your holiday creations.

For my project this month, I got to play with Holiday Tree Destiny. This image is great fun to color. I chose traditional Christmas reds, greens and golds. I added Stickles to the top of her dress and used Atyou Spicas for some of the baubles in her hair, the star on the top of her head and her gloves. The greens I chose are Copic colors YG97, G29, G46, G43 and G40. I chose yellows Y15, Y17, Y26 and Y28 for the gold parts on the image. For her hair I used E31, E53, E25 and E49.

I chose to make a box this time to hold holiday cards. I have put them in the box in their envelopes. I chose Doodlebug Designs paper and some additional paper from my stash. I cut out the image with Nellie's die and added sparkly dots around some of the outside of the die cut.

Sure hope you like my entire creation as well and hopefully it has given you some inspiration. Make sure that you visit the Faery Ink Shop to see all the wonderful images there!! Also, remember to play in our challenge which you can find at Faery Ink Facebook Group.

Hugs:)
