FUN IN THE SUN WITH KARLEIGH SUE DIGI DESIGNS!!

Hello everyone!  Wow, my weekend was so busy - 8 soccer games between my 2 boys - 4 Saturday, 3 Sunday and 1 yesterday as it was a holiday here in US.  I was barely home all weekend and got nothing done on my house!

I am sharing today on the Karleigh Sue Inspiration blog with another creation to share using one of the brilliant images from Karleigh Sue Etsy Shoppe.

Today, I am using Sassy Summer (Curly) image which can be found in Karleigh Sue Etsy Shoppe.  This is a super fun image and as always, so much fun to color!

As anyone who has seen many of my recent projects, you may have noticed that I have been doing a lot more fancy folds.  I was at the point where I was starting to think all my cards were looking very similar, and that took away a bit of my mojo.  So, I decided to get on Pinterest and any other website I could find and get some inspiration!  This particular fold was found at Joanna Sheen shop.  It is called a zig zag 4 panel card.  I chose papers from Jillie Bean.  Image and sentiment cut with Marianne dies.  Stickers are Jolee's Boutique and sentiment is from Craftin' Desert Divas.

Copic colors used as follows:

Hair - E55, E25, E29
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04
Skirt and headband B41, B32, B34, B37, B39
Pinks RV23, RV25, RV09
Yellow YR21, YR23, YR24

Image is highlighted with Y32 and grounded with E31, E33, E35, C2

I sure hope you like how this came out and hopefully it has provided some inspiration for you:)  Remember to check out New Karleigh Sue Digi ShoppeKarleigh Sue Etsy ShoppeKarleigh Sue Facebook Fan Group and Karleigh Sue Challenge blog.  Have a great day!!

SHOW OFF THOSE MUSCLES WITH FAERY INK

Hello everyone!!   Weirdest thing happened, I had this post all ready to post today and somehow, it completely disappeared from my blog!  It was supposed to post earlier today, but I wasn't home from soccer and then dinner until after 9pm from 8:30am this morning, so please accept my apologies.

I want to share some inspiration with you today. You can find the image I used, “Girls Lift Too” at the Faery Ink Shop.  I absolutely adore this image, she is stunning and was a joy to color.  I love the sentiment I found from Jaded Blossom – in case you can’t read it, it says “Wear Your Muscles with Pride” and I think it fits this image perfectly!

I chose to make a twisted easel card to showcase this beauty. I used DP from Doodblebug Designs and buttons from Queen and Co. Image is cut out with Nestie and die behind it is also Nestie. Image colored with Copics. I chose hair colors E53, E34, E57, E49. Skin is the same skin colors I pretty much always use E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 and R21. Lips are RV23 and RV25. Shirt is E02, E04, E07 and E09, heart is RV23, RV25 and RV09. Dumbbells are YG03, YG13, YG17 and G28. Shorts are B000, B01, B02, B05 and B07.

Sure hope you like my creation and hopefully it has given you some inspiration. Make sure that you visit the Faery Ink Shop to see all the wonderful images there!! Also, remember to play in our challenge which you can find at Faery Ink Facebook Group.

2 or More Designer Papers at Di's Digi Designs

Happy Saturday to everyone!   More soccer this weekend and next weekend as both boys are playing tournaments both weekends.  Luckily, they are the same tournament and they are both relatively local, so that is good.  Of course, they are still exhausting.  Thank goodness we have Monday off for Memorial Day Holiday.

We have a NEW CHALLENGE for you over at DI’S DIGI DESIGNS and it is 2 or More Designer Papers!  You have until 11:55pm EST on Friday, June 5 (my oldest daughter's b-day - she will be 16!) to come join the fun.  Remember, you don’t need to use an image from DI'S DIGI STAMPS to play along, but if you do use an image from DI'S DIGI STAMPS or any CandiBean stamp, you have a chance to win 2 images from DI'S DIGI STAMPS in addition to a chance at the sponsor prize.

I hope you will check out DI'S DIGI STAMPS as Di has so many wonderful images, many that would be perfect for our challenge.   You can also check out her CandiBean stamps line - Set 7 is now available in the UK and other parts of Europe - you can find details at DI’S DIGI DESIGNS.

Today my creation uses one of the newest adorable images from DI’S DIGI STAMPS "Mia's Koala Hugs."  This image is so cute, love that little koala!  I have colored it with Copics and cut out with Nestie.  Sentiment is from Scrappy Moms and cut with Sue Wilson die.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts (little flowers) and Bo Bunny (larger flower).  I used Doodlebug dots on the sentiment and Prima bling flourish on the panel beside the image.  Designer Paper is Doodlebug Designs.  I sure hope you like this variation of the standard tri-fold.  I have been playing around with a few different versions of the tri-fold that you will get to see soon.  Sure hope you like it and will come play along.  Hugs:)

ONE SWEET CHALLENGE (SWEET PEA STAMPS) - THINGS WITH WINGS

Happy Monday!  I am thrilled to announce that I am back as part of the DT at ONE SWEET CHALLENGE where we showcase the brilliant artists from SWEET PEA STAMPS SHOP.

We have our second round of May inspiration projects from our amazing One Sweet Challenge (OSC) Designers.   Our theme is “things with wings,” and your deadline is May 30.  To enter you can click here.

This is the front of my card, I guess it's an off center gate fold - not sure what else to call it LOL.  I used a Fiskars punch for the flowers, ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon, made bow with Bow Easy and affixed Prima Flower.  DP is from my stash.

My card uses Molly Harrison’s Little Winter Angel.  This is such a beautiful image and I had great fun coloring her with my Copics, Atyou Spicas and Sakura pens.  She is cut out with a Sue Wilson die.  Sentiment is from My Creative Time clear stamp and cut with Nestie.  I sure hope you like it and will come play along!!

Btw, in our Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook group we have a progressive challenge every two weeks. First, we have a call for projects using any Sweet Pea Stamps image that is available in the store. That theme is “anything goes.” Then those entries will receive a digital image FREE of charge, chosen by our leader and SPS store owner Lynette, for Part Two of the progressive challenge. With that FREE digital image you are asked to make a project and enter it in Part Two. Random.org will pick the winner of Part Two. That winner will receive another digital image of the winner’s choice from the SPS store. Even if you don’t enter our progressive challenge, we hope you will stop by for inspiration and share your Sweet Pea Stamps art. The current FB Progressive challenge started Part 2 today, May 18.

The Sweet Pea Stamps Designers blog showcases Sweet Pea goodness every day. Need a little pick me up for your creative mojo, or sometimes to view a video, stop by, like I said, “every day.” You can also find the challenge blogs that Sweet Pea Stamps is sponsoring. Here’s another chance to win more SPS goodness.

Hope you will pay a visit to Sweet Pea Stamps:)

Hello and back again today!  I am running on very little sleep, so if my post doesn't make sense, I cannot (and should not) be held responsible!  LOL  I am so glad it's Friday, even though I have a busy weekend ahead, we have nothing tonight.

You can see all the Challenge samples made by the DT Team B at ALL DRESSED UP BLOG.  Trust me, you will be inspired by all the beautiful projects.  I also hope you will join us on our ALL DRESSED UP FACEBOOK GROUP page where you can chat about All Dressed Up and join in other fun going on there.  We also have our challenges from the blog being cross posted at the ALL DRESSED UP FACEBOOK GROUP, so take advantage of being able to see all the DT challenge creations there as well, and we'd love to see what you are doing with All Dressed Up images, so feel free to post your latest All Dressed Up projects!!

My creation today features Love Spring Time  digi image from ALL DRESSED UP ETSY SHOP.    I colored her with Copics and cut out with Sue Wilson die.  Then, I made a mask with vellum and used removable tape runner to attach it to the image parts of the cut out and used my sponge dauber to go over the rest.  You can see the final result in the photo above.

I decided this gorgeous image needed a fun, fancy fold to showcase it, so I used a double shutter (or double display) fold, you can see the tutorial at Beccy's Place Blog - she has tons of awesome tutorials there.  I chose Kaisercraft DP.  This is the closed card, tied with ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and butterfly from Prima added.

This is the card fully opened.  I added a few Prima flowers for some added fun and a Prima flower with Queen and Co. bling center on the image.

Here's a closer view of this adorable image.

I sure hope you like it and will come play at ALL DRESSED UP BLOG!!

New Releases at Inky Impressions!!

Wow, another crazy week.  14 more school days til the kids are out for summer, and yes, I am counting down the days!!  Since November, when we moved, life has seemed to be all driving children to and from things - mainly school.  I was used to all the other driving, but the school stuff has been pretty overwhelming, so I am really looking forward to not having to do that anymore.  Next school year, they will all be back to riding buses.

We have some AMAZING NEW RELEASES from Inky Impressions, so I hope you will check those out  - the DT has done a great job showcasing them and you can find their samples at Inky Impressions Challenge!   Reminder, we also have our MORE THAN 1 FOLD challenge going on - you have until Tues., May 19 at 6pm GMT to come play along in our challenge, so come link up your project at Inky Impressions Challenge - you can use any images you like.

The front of my card features Wedding Day Circle digi, which I have placed a piece of marbled vellum over and then cut all out with Leabilities die.  I chose DP from Simple Stories and bling from Queen and Co. to finish off the front of the card.

The inside of my features New Release images

I chose to make the inside pop out/up when you open it by adding a little folded paper piece in between the interior top and bottom
Here is a closer view of the images so you can see all the wonderful detail of these images and also how nicely they go together to make a scene.  I used GIMP to combine the images to make the scene.

All the images and sentiment I used today can be found at Inky Impressions Shop.   Image is colored with Copics and Atyou Spicas and cut out with Sue Wilson die.  Sure hope you like it.  Also, please pay a visit to our Inky Impressions Facebook Group and check out our Inky Impressions Pinterest Gallery.

BIRTHDAY BLOG HOP WITH FAERY INK!

Hello, hello and welcome to our Faery Ink Birthday Blog Hop!!

Happy Birthday Faery Ink Blog Hop!

You are at Audrey (aka Hippieaud)'s blog right now and I have chosen to use Peace Fairy, which you will be able to find at FAERY INK SHOP on May 22nd.  I absolutely love this image because as most of you know, I love anything which stands for Peace, Love, tie dye, etc.  This image is absolutely stunning and has great details, making it such fun to color.

I wanted to do something really special to celebrate Faery Ink's birthday, so I used a tutorial from Splitcoast to make an exploding box and of course, I chose birthday papers from Cloud 9 and gcd Studios to decorate it.  Bow is made from ribbon I got from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  After coloring this wonderful image with Copics, I cut her out with scissors so you could really get a nice look at all the beautiful details found on the image.

Box opened - sentiment is from Paper Sweeties and I chose balloon dies from We R Memory Keepers and Taylored Expressions.

We all need Hope with Karleigh Sue Digis

Hello everyone!  I am back with a post that can also be found on the Karleigh Sue Inspiration blog   to share another creation using one of the brilliant images from Karleigh Sue Etsy Shoppe.

Today, I am using We Keep Hope image which can be found in Karleigh Sue Etsy Shoppe.  This is a super fun an versatile image.  As we all know, everyone can use HOPE at any point throughout life and this image is great because it can be tailor made to represent any disease, disability, etc. that is honored by a colored ribbon.

As many of you know, my oldest daughter is Autistic and many of the ribbon cards I make are to recognize Autism Awareness, signified by the puzzle piece ribbon in bright colors.  I drew in the puzzle pieces on the ribbon and colored image with Copics.  Image then cut with Nesties and I made a fancy folded card, for which I chose DP from Doodlebug Design.  Flowers are Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts, bling is from my stash.

Copic colors used as follows:

Hair - E50, E31, E35, E25
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04
Roses - R24, R29, R46 and RV99
Blues - B91, B93, B97, B000, B21, B23, B24, B26, B28, B29, B39
Yellow - Y13, Y15, Y17, YR23, E33
Green - YG67, YG63, YG03
Orange - YR04, YR68, YR09

Image is highlighted with B60 and grounded with C2 and C4.

NEW CHALLENGE AT INKY IMPRESSIONS - CANDI, GEMS, PEARLS and/or BUTTONS

Hi everyone!  Sorry for my absence lately and also, if you have e-mailed me and haven't received a response - I am having some issues with my e-mail, so please sit tight.   Weather is so gorgeous today - sunny and 80s - totally unseasonably warm for this type of year, but I want it to stay this way.

I'm pleased to announce a New Challenge this week at Inky Impressions Challenge and it is EMBELLISHMENTS - Candi, Gems, Pearls and/or Buttons.  You have 1 week to come play along in our challenge - it ends 6pm GMT on May 12 - so come link up your project at Inky Impressions Challenge - you can use any images you like.

 Open card

My card today features digi Umbrella LiLi from Inky Impressions.   I have been playing around with some new/different folds recently as I start getting to a point where I feel like all my creations look to similar and I want to mix it up a bit:)  So, for today's creation, I chose to do a gatefold easel card.  I got the idea on Pinterest but I am unsure from where it came from - sorry.  I have colored this gorgeous image with Copics and cut out with Tattered Lace die.  DP is Cloud 9 Design.  Sentiment is cut with die from my stash and is from My Creative Time.  Ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.   Buttons on inside are Queen and Co. and bling flowers on outside are Darice.  I sure hope you like it and will come join our challenge!!
